{Ally} Soon-to-be- 13 | Long Beach, CA Photographer

I was especially excited for this shoot because I was recently inspired by Shop Ruche's newest lookbook. I absolutely loved the image with the vintage fabric kites. I knew Ally's shoot was coming up and I instantly thought it would be perfect! She is soon-to-be 13 but I kinda wanted to capture a whimsical snapshot of her childhood. It came out exactly as I anticipated. I would love to do more sessions like these!

A special thanks to my brother Steven who made the kites and styled the session for me. He is becoming a true partner in the planning & styling of my shoots. It's been so fun to collaborate with him. The combination of the kites, location, & Ally's cuteness made this a dream session!

I have known Ally since she was a toddler. Both her parents are friends and teachers at LHS and she use to join the cheerleaders on the sidelines in her little cheer uniform when I was the advisor. It's hard to imagine that my daughter is now that age and she is soon to be a teenager. The passing of time just baffles me...

There's something about this next image that just makes my heart skip a beat...
