Tuesday night, my friend KrisD & I met up for 30 minutes for a headshot exchange before our Long Beach Wedding Collective meeting at Tantalum. We headed down to the docks, which we frequent on our boating adventures. A huge thanks to her for capturing a ton of images of myself, that I actually LOVE! Which is quite amazing since I just recently posted on my blog how much I dislike being in front of the camera. It's always an awesome exercise to do for a photographer, so we experience what our clients do. The images on my new blog banner are courtesy of KrisD. Now on to the photos! Love her style, her looks, and that crazy cackling laugh of hers.

{Veronica} Long Beach Headshot Photographer
It was nice to be back in the shooting mode this weekend. And great to meet young people with big dreams...such as Veronica. Veronica has worked in Hollywood before as a child and is hoping to get back in the industry. Which would require a few updated headshots. Best of luck to you on all of your pursuits, Veronica. I love to play a small part in young people living out their dreams. That inspires me!

{Haleigh} Long Beach Headshot Photographer
Haleigh was my 5th session for the day...and what a relief she was! She is use to being in front of the camera and is so herself! We had so much fun talking about her budding career and possible photo poses and shots. Haleigh, are you sure you're not 21 instead of 11? You are wise beyond your years, my little friend.

{Captured} Jackie
I met Jackie Saturday morning in Huntington Beach to capture some promo headshots for her (after waiting for my husband to return home with my car keys that I left in B's diaper bag...oops!). Jackie found me on Facebook after I shot some headshots for a mutual friend/client Kristyn a couple months back. It's so fun meeting new people but especially those referred by former clients. I'm super grateful for all of you passing on my name.
I love on location shooting because you never know what you're going to find and it forces you to be on-the-spot creative. We wandered the allies of HB and even into the Shorebreak hotel lobby and patio. We even ran into an old friend and neighbor of mine that now lives in Texas. It was so awesome catching up with him and even weirder that we encountered each other in an alley! Thanks again Jackie...it was a fun morning together.

{Captured} Kristyn
I met Kristyn in downtown Long Beach last night just before sunset. It was kinda of an eeire night with the smoke in the air from the SoCal fires. Kristyn is hoping to get some commerial work and needed some headshots. No prob! She is such a sweet girl...the kinda girl that underestimates how cool and beautiful she really is! Within the first five minutes of our session, I was in love with some of the images we captured. It was so hard to narrow down the preview. See for yourself...
I got so many amazing images within the first half hour of our session, I really wanted to experiment with some night shooting and flash. This is definitely out of my realm but I'm happy with the results.

{Captured} Ashley
I met up with Ashley last night at The Lab in Costa Mesa to get some headshots for the upcoming Laker Girl tryouts. Ashley was a former student and cheeleader of mine...so it's always fun to reconnect with former students. She has always been a super talented dancer...dancing for CSULB and even in the Disneyland parade. There were so many good shots from our time together, it was difficult choosing a few to put on the blog. I hope you love them as much as I do, Ashley! Thanks again for asking me to shoot you.

{Captured} Matthew
This little guy (although definitely not so little) was such a blast to capture. He is quite the performer from what I hear and I can only imagine. He has a confidence and intelligence about him that is beyond his years. He's hoping to do a little acting in the future so he now has a few headshots to show off his cuteness. What a doll...

{Captured} Brianne
Saturday morning I had the pleasure of shooting Brianne, a former student of mine. It's always fun to reconnect with students after they graduate and to find out what they're doing now. Well, she is hard at work as a student at FIDM in LA and is seeking some acting roles. We had fun walking the streets and alleys of downtown Long Beach. Here's a preview of our shoot together. Can you believe those eyes? So pretty!
