I got a text & comment today from a dear friend how the family slide show I posted last night made her cry. Which I think is probably the ultimate compliment. Well, I just bawled my eyes out watching this wedding trailer from uber talented videographer Isabel Gonzalez. She is part of the Long Beach Wedding Collective and I'm honored to be among her talent.
I recently referred Isabel to one of my current brides & hoping she decides to use her. Her work is just incredible. This trailer is straight from Hollywood...BRAVO!

{Slideshow} Maines Family
So I recently purchased a flip video cam so that I may capture my families in motion too. I just love that our sessions come alive with stills and video combined. My goal is to create lifestyle sessions for the families I shoot. I really want it to be a "day in the life" of your family. What does your family love to do together? What's a typical day like? Although I love a beautiful family portrait, my love is capturing life as it is. Take a peak at my first lifestyle shoot...

{CB in Action} San Juan Capistrano Engagement Session
I recently posted a fun engagement session that I shot last month in SJC with my buddy Danny. Well, he also shot some video clips of me in action with his fancy schmancy Canon 7D. And was also kind enough to throw it together in a little video clip for all to see. Thanks Danny!
Notice my new ShootSac too? Please forgive me for being such a dork and being so matchy-matchy. This is the first time I've used my Shootsac. I've been shooting for so long without it, it may just take a little getting use to. I LOVE the way it looks though. And isn't that what's most important? J/K!

Roller Baby
I get too much junk mail...and I especially hate forwarded messages. I usually delete without even reading them. Sorry peeps...if you're one of those infamous forward'ers! But because this one came from mom, I actually took the time to watch. AND I'm so happy I did because this about the cutest and coolest thing I've ever seen. So instead of forwarding on to you via email (so I'm not "one" of them) I'm posting here. You can choose to watch or not...but I'm thinking you should! This will put a smile on your face! I especially like it because this has to be Brooklyn's age...I could just see her little head on one of these bodies. Enjoy!

Where The Wild Things Are
My favorite children book of all time is going to be a movie!!! Where the Wilds Things Are by Maurice Sendek. Yipee! I've always been drawn to this book. Not because I was sent to bed without dinner but maybe it's my sense of adventure or traveling spirit. I'm just so excited for Brooklyn to experience this story in film someday. I'll finally get a movie buddy!
See for yourself...

Meet Baby Brooklyn
Thanks to my photog friend Kristi, I have a very well documented labor and delivery. Go to her blog for a full account of the experience. Thanks Kristi!

So New to this World
Dan captured the following video of Brooklyn being bathed only a couple hours old by the hospital nurse while I was still in recovery. I was so happy that he got this on video! Good daddy! I can't believe how content she is in the water...only fussing after they took her out of it.
